Mass Man Injured in NH Truck Mud Race

An unidentified Massachusetts man sustained injuries in East Lebanon, New Hampshire this past Sunday after he somehow lost control of his GMC truck while racing at the Go Deep Mud Track.

The unnamed man is reportedly in his 60s, according to The Portland Press Herald. He was transported to a local hospital after the truck launched over a pit and went roughly 100 feet into a wooded area, before it came to a rest in a stream of water estimated to be 3 feet deep.

The driver was not conscious when he was pulled from the truck. Officials have stated that his injuries are currently listed as non-life-threatening.

Liability Issues
Problems with the throttle may have played a role in this accident. Authorities have reported that the truck’s throttle could have been jammed, which would have made it extremely difficult for the driver to dislodge it while still maintaining control over the truck.

The investigation into the crash and whether or not mechanical failures contributed to the accident is ongoing by New Hampshire officials.
